Prices and packages: how your quote comes about
Why there are no flat rates, what affects the price, what is always included and how you get your written quote.
Contiphotography has no flat rates and no price list. Lorenzo Conti first talks to every couple, ideally by video call. There he clarifies what you wish for and how much work your day involves, and then gives you the price. You receive it in writing before you decide.
At a glance
- Price: individual, after a conversation and in writing in your quote
- First step: your enquiry with date and place, with a reply usually within 24 hours
- Then: a phone or video call to clarify your wishes and the work involved
- Available: wedding photography, wedding film or both from one team
- Travel costs: we talk them through in our conversation
- Your date is reserved for you as soon as you have signed the contract
Why there are no flat rates
A civil ceremony with coverage of 4 hours or more is something different from a whole wedding day abroad. A fixed package would either include things you do not need or leave out things that matter to you. That is why Lorenzo first clarifies what you want, and then calculates the work involved.
In the conversation he also explains how he works and what you will receive at the end. That way you know what you are getting into before you decide, and you can ask questions that a price sheet cannot answer.
What affects the price
- Duration: from 4 hours, for example for the civil ceremony, up to the whole day into the evening
- Photo, film or both: for a full-day reportage with both there are three of us, for photo only or film only Lorenzo comes alone
- Place and travel: weddings in the region differ from weddings abroad, where the team’s travel and accommodation play a part
- Album: a designed album is an extra on request, more under Album
- After-wedding shoot: a couple portrait session on another day, if the wedding day is too full
What is always included
- An introductory conversation beforehand and a plan for your day
- For a full-day photo reportage, on average 500 to 800 edited images, edited in Lorenzo’s style
- Private online gallery for sharing and downloading, images in high resolution, with a preview after a few days if you like
- For film: a professionally edited highlight film with a say in the choice of music, a trailer (2–3 minutes) as a gift, plus speeches, games and the complete ceremony always as original video footage, and selected behind-the-scenes shots on request
- Album on request
- Usage rights for your private use. Suppliers of your day, such as the venue, florist or wedding planner, may use the images free of charge with credit, by arrangement.
The individual services are described under Wedding photography and Wedding videography.
What is not included
So that you can compare quotes, here is what is only included if it is stated in your quote:
- Album and after-wedding shoot
- Coverage time beyond the agreed duration
- Planning and organising the celebration: we advise on the timeline, but we do not organise the celebration
- Drone footage at places where flying is not permitted
How to get your quote
- You send us your date and place through the enquiry form. We usually reply within 24 hours and tell you whether we are free that day.
- We talk by phone or video call. Lorenzo explains how he works and what you will receive, and you tell us about your day and your wishes.
- You receive a written quote with all services and the price for your day.
- With the contract, the date is reserved for you.
Frequently asked questions about the quote
Why don’t you list prices on the website?
Because every day is different. Lorenzo wants to know first what you wish for and how much work your day involves, and only then name a price. He considers that more professional than a price list that does not fit you.
Why does a wedding reportage cost so much?
The wedding day is only one part of the work. There is also planning and the initial conversation, selecting and editing the images or cutting the film, delivery and the equipment. That is why hourly rates are a poor basis for comparison. More in our guide: What does a wedding photographer cost?
How does the conversation work, and do I need to prepare anything?
You do not need to prepare anything. It helps if you have the date, the place and a rough idea of the course of the day. The conversation is no-obligation, ideally by video call, so you do not need to come to us.
What does travel cost for a wedding abroad?
We talk this through in our conversation and put it in your quote before you decide. You can read more about weddings abroad under Destination weddings, and about Italy and Malta under Wedding photographer in Sicily.
What if the celebration runs longer?
If you already know it will be a long one, we plan for it in your quote from the start.

Is your date still free?
Send us the date and place. We will get back to you usually within 24 hours.
