Why a German-Italian team helps
At a wedding in Italy, two worlds often meet: guests from Germany and family from Sicily. If your photographer can talk to both sides, you have less to translate on the day itself. We handle arrangements with the venue, suppliers and family, as far as they are part of our work.
Lorenzo Conti is a trained photographer and videographer, has worked professionally since 2013 and specialises in weddings, worldwide. You can read more about him and the team under Lorenzo Conti and team.
Marrying abroad: full support from start to finish
You live in Germany and want to marry abroad. Then you need someone who stays with you all day, photographs and films in a lively, authentic way, and delivers real quality. That is exactly our focus. Lorenzo’s view: photography is art, so choose based on what you like. That is why we suggest you look at the reportages below.

Places where we have photographed
Seven weddings in Italy and Malta are online as reportages, six of them in Sicily. They show the style of the images, the places and the course of a day better than any description. A short overview of where we have worked:
Taormina
Three of our reportages were created in Taormina on Sicily’s east coast:
- Giulio and Roberta in Taormina, Villa Garbo
- Giorgio and Valeria in Taormina
- Rossella and Vincenzo in Taormina, a couple from Germany
Catania
In Catania we photographed Riccardo and Lucia at Villa Fago. You can also watch their wedding film, more under Wedding videography.
Messina
In Messina we covered Roberta and Francesco, at the venue Borgo Musolino.
Sicily in general and Malta
Kyra and Ryan came from Malta and married in Sicily, and you can watch their film under Wedding videography. In Malta itself we photographed Maximilian and Giulia. The page Real weddings collects all reportages.

Planning in German or English
We get to know each other by phone or video call, so you do not need to come to us. Enquiries, your quote and arrangements reach you in writing, in German or English. We talk about the timeline, the light and the places that matter to you. If you have a venue we do not know yet, we clarify access, routes and light windows beforehand with you and the venue. For summer weddings we recommend not scheduling the portraits in the midday heat, but in the softer light of late afternoon and evening.
How things work on site: a rough guide
We are not wedding planners and we do not give legal advice. What we can give you is experience from everyday life as photographers:
- Depending on the type of ceremony, civil, church or symbolic, the course of the day, its length and the space for photographers differ.
- Some places have their own rules for photos, film and drones. It is best to ask the venue or the responsible office early, and we will raise it too.
- For questions about papers and formalities for the ceremony, check with the responsible registry office or your wedding planner on site.
What we clarify with you beforehand
- Date, place and venue, if they are already fixed
- Timeline of the ceremony, reception and celebration, and when the light is best
- The venue’s rules for photos, film and drone
- A plan B for bad weather
- The team’s travel and travel costs
Travel and costs
We talk through travel and travel costs for Sicily and Malta in our conversation. You get the total in advance in the written quote. How the quote comes about is explained under Prices and packages.
Frequently asked questions about weddings in Sicily and Malta
Do you speak German and Italian?
Yes. Lorenzo is Italian and has lived in Germany for 35 years, and his team speaks Italian and German, plus English and Spanish. Planning happens in German or English, and we handle arrangements with family and the venue on site in Italian.
Who pays for the team’s travel?
We talk this through in our conversation. The total is stated in advance in the written quote.
How many people will come to the wedding?
For a full-day reportage there are three of us: a photographer, a videographer and a third person who supports both. If you book only photo or only film, Lorenzo comes alone.
Do you photograph and film in Malta too?
Yes, a reportage from Malta is already online: Maximilian and Giulia in Malta. We also cover weddings in other regions of Italy and in the rest of Europe, more under Wedding photographer for Italy and Destination weddings.
Do you know our venue?
That depends on the place. If not, we prepare: access, routes, light and timeline are clarified in advance with you and the venue, by video call if needed.
Which documents do we need for the ceremony?
We do not give legal advice on this. Which papers your ceremony requires, you will learn from the responsible registry office or the body conducting the ceremony, and from your wedding planner on site.
How do we get to know each other if we do not live nearby?
By video call. After that you receive a plan for the day. This is how couples who live far away get to know us before the wedding too.
Can we combine photos and film in Sicily?
Yes. Both come from one team, and the photographer and videographer coordinate with each other.
